About the Grand Lake St. Marys, Ohio Area 

 Grand Lake St. Mary’s is located in both Auglaize & Miami Counties, and is only a short distance away from the major metropolitan areas of Lima & Dayton Ohio.

Calling are boaters!  Grand Lake St. Mary’s is open-zoned for skiing, has unlimited horsepower, and only requires that boaters use caution and obey the 300 ft. no-wake along banks and shorelines.  There are a total of five state ran boat launching ramps and a multitude of other launching availabilities dotting the Auglaize & Miami County areas. 

Calling all anglers!  “Fishing is a year round affair” at Grand Lake St. Mary’s.  On an average the lake is relatively shallow with depths ranging from seven to nine feet, however there are areas increasing in depth.  Attracting a number of anglers, local and coming from afar, the catch of the day may include large mouth bass, crappie, perch, significantly sized catfish & walleye, to even the childhood favorite – playful bluegill.

Open to the residents or visitors, the Grand lake St. Mary’s State Park located in Auglaize County along St. Rt.703, welcomes campers all year round.  The campground offers a total of 210 campsites available with or without electric, a group tent area commonly used by boy scout and girl scout troops, 3 camper cabins semi furnished plus 2 cedar cabins furnished with a living room, kitchen, bedroom(s), and bath.   Camping fees vary in rate depending on your length of stay and electric-non electric sites.  Camper cabins are $35.00 a night and cedar cabins are $80.00 a night.  For information, you can contact either the park office at (419) 394-3611 or dial 1-866-OHIO PARKS for reservations.  On-site amenities (some seasonal) include restroom and shower facilities, laundering facilities, a miniature golf course, sand volleyball court, bicycle rental, a nature center, playground equipment, boat ramps and tie-up docks, and a beach for splashing good time!
